About

Deanna Kloostra (Dean-na) (Kloo-stra) is a mother who is known all across the United States for her advocacy in helping mothers who left their abuser only to lose custody to their abuser. She created the website AbusedSwan.com and started meeting other women. When Deanna started her website it was only the third site for non custodial mothers. Deanna met mothers from all over the United States and after meeting 85 mothers who had her judge, she just could not keep track of all the mothers and their stories. Deanna has become an expert on her judge and the corrutpion of the 17th Circuit Court.

The website started getting out of contoll the more and more corruption that Deanna found in her research. Eventually Deanna did not feel safe and she was burnt out from working with women of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD),

Deanna took a step back from the movement and wanted to go into another direction with her advocacy. She took a break and then decided to start Dear Deanna. Deanna wants to let people know how she advocated her case and how others can do the same. She has created tools for others to use to help in the divorce process and wants to show others how to advocate and investigate the corruption. Deanna says that knowledge is power and boy does this girl have some power.

In 2014 her former judge tried to file a Personal Protection Order (PPO) agianst her. Deanna made it be kown that she would invite the over 85 mothers who are victims of the judg to the hearing when she fought the PPO. Now what judge would walk into a court room with 85 or more of their victis?????

Deanna has always said, "You can't fight the law, with the law, if those who are in charge of the law are not following the law or held accountable for the misuse of the law."
